Ian Hartmann
Founder & Head Mentor
Ian is the Founder and Head Mentor of CPP Trading, with a passion for teaching and mentoring traders and investors worldwide. He is a multi-asset trader who developed a keen interest in the financial markets at a young age and learned the ins and outs of the stock market early on.
Although Ian initially pursued a career in Engineering, he soon realized his true calling was in the financial markets. During his international career, he traded physical assets and commodities before later transitioning to the FX spot and futures market to reduce operating costs and maximize profits.
Ian specialized in Forex and Commodities/CFDs, spending years analyzing price charts and market trends to find structure within the randomness of today’s markets. While he trades all types of markets and timeframes, his core focus remains intraday trading and scalping, relying on price action, market structure, and pattern recognition, without using indicators.
Today, Ian works with clients, trading firms, and hedge funds across Asia, Europe, and North America. CPP Trading was founded to share his knowledge with traders around the world and provide the education, guidance, and mindset required to succeed in the markets.
